I dont like Cook as captain but he must be careful with Lanka.
one time almost the identical situation..england fist innings lead..Lanka bowled them out cheaply in second...and rushed to an improbable victory with Sanath Jaya doing considerable damage with the bat
and in england too.
half an hour tomorrow should be fine. but he must not lose. he has to balance this out carefully

That makes sense to me so I could not see why Krish was suggesting we were being negative.
I also remember Sobers declaring at QPO only for India to win.
I thought that was a sporting declaration which could have worked for Sobers.
In this current game, our overnight score is good enough for Lanka's strong lineup to contemplate victory so would not close shop from the start. Also with uneven bounce on a fifth day inserting the Lankans first thing could lead to a victory for us.
Go England.

I say it is heading for an interesting climax.
England declared overnight which was the correct decision.
Have been in meetings so have not seen any of today's play.
If Lanka win this one it would be well deserved. Far too often this game is played far too negatively.

I agree but the two stalwarts will get stuck in.
Draw seems the most probable outcome.
