Joe Root not an England opener - says Australia's Rogers - chairman - 04-13-2014

Joe Root is not the right option to open for England, says Australia opposite number Chris Rogers.
Rogers, 36, has tipped his fellow Middlesex opener Sam Robson as an obvious successor after an impressive winter with the England Lions.
"Sam is going to be a very good international player," Rogers told the Sunday Times.

Well I agree. He shouldn't open, I think #3 or #4 would be more appropriate position for his style of batting, rather than exposing him to the new ball. I'd put Bell to open with Cook if you ask me. Or continue with Carberry, he's a good player and needs a solid run.
