There are a lot of strange restaurant concepts out there, from all-bacon spots to cat cafes to toilet-themed eateries, but the New Lucky Restaurant in Ahmedabad, India might have one of the most shocking. According to Foodbeast, the draw for the spot is that customers get to dine with the dead.
The restaurant offers a food and tea menu, and guests dine alongside 16th-century coffins from the extremely old Muslim cemetery atop which the business was built. Customers reportedly believe that eating with the deceased can affect their daily lives. Diners at New Lucky Restaurant regularly come to ask for blessings from those who have passed away, then enjoy a meal or tea. While the concept may seem odd to those who haven't heard about it before, New Lucky Restaurant obviously has a group of loyal diners; the eatery has been around for decades.
