Malaysia Airlines lost contact with a plane heading to Beijing with 239 people on board around 2:40 a.m. local time. The flight went missing around two hours after departing from Kuala Lumpur, and was supposed to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. "Malaysia Airlines is currently working with the authorities who have activated their search and rescue team to locate the aircraft," the airline said.

My prayers and those of thousands of others around the world, are with the people on board that flight. I hope damage is minimal and that their lives are safe. Sometimes, events such as this happen and make us realize that we are just humans. I have personally traveled by Malaysia Airlines and found the service to be of excellent quality. It is being reported that the flight went missing over the South China sea. I am following these developments very closely.
