She was born in 1920 Seafield, Leonora. She was leader for WPO in that district. On March 6`1964 , she and others were forming a human barricade on the bridge leading to the Leonora sugar factory. They were fighting for their rights. To make a long story short she was killed . Her body was severed in 2 parts. Her 2 other friends Jagdai and Daisy Sookram were crippled for life. Alice had 4 children . She was a working woman without a husband. A brave woman who stood along side the men and lost her life leaving her children orphans. May her soul always rest with God.
