Interracial Couple in Georgia Upset Over Racial Slur on Parking Ticket - chairman - 02-11-2014

Sam and Candea Aarons, an interracial couple from Atlanta area, Georgia, are highly upset after they recently discovered an offensive racial slur written on their valet ticket after picking up their car.

They couple reportedly valet parked their car, and had dinner on New Year's day at Spondivits restaurant in East Point, Georgia. After retrieving their vehicle and preparing to go home, they couldn't help but notice a tag that was still attached to their set of keys. It read "jungle fever".

Of course, the couple complained to the restaurant and the valet company. But rather than being apologized to, they were only offered a gift certificate for a free dinner. They turned it down.

“We have never been so blatantly described in such a blatantly appalling manner ever,” Candea Aarons said. “I shouldn’t have to feel this way. We had no idea that the valet was looking at us or thinking of us in such a manner."

To make matters even worse, the parking attendant who wrote the message was Black.

The restaurant eventually released a statement saying that the employee had been fired, and that they “do not tolerate racism of any kind whatsoever.”

I was a joke for christ sake and not an offensive one at that , Something I would have done.
Are they happy that they got the brother fired?
I Remember once at a party where one of my white  female  co worker showed up with a black guy and I  blurted out " guess who is coming to dinner"...
They were not offended  cause they saw the humor in it

I have to agree that I think they took a bit too much offense to that.  The thing with racism is not only do people need to stop being racist, but people also need to chill out on assumptions that someone else is being racist in their mannerisms.  Sometimes what someone thinks is funny can be offense to another, it's a fact of life.  If it bothered them that much they really should have just left without returning.
