THE European Union (EU) announced on Friday that strict rules would be applied before Guyana could begin drawing down funds to strengthen its sea and river defence systems.

After milking the colonies for hundreds of years for they are worth, and building shining civilization on our backs, we still have to bow and scrape, and bend backwards just to get a little bit of crumbs from the master's table. Saddens the heart
