Popes Meet for Pre-Christmas Chat
Two Popes walk into a retirement home.... Pope Francis paid a pre-Christmas visit to his predecessor, Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI, at the latter’s retirement home on Monday. The Vatican newspaper released photographs of the two, dressed nearly identically, chatting on the white couches in Benedict’s living room. They also prayed together in the chapel next door. This is only the second time that the two popes have met publicly, though occasionally they speak on the phone and arrange private meetings.
