Question on Cricket - ketchim - 02-25-2011 In the 47th over of Bangladesh's innings, umpire Rod Tucker ruled Abdur Razzak out lbw, but the batsman successfully challenged the decision. The confusion starts here, though. The ball had gone for what would have been four leg-byes fine of a square third man, who would have had little chance of fielding it had the on-field umpire not given the batsman out. However, those leg-byes didn't count, but the ball did. Wot say ye ? Re: Question on Cricket - ketchim - 02-25-2011 What IF Bangla had lost by 3 runs : Could they protest that 4 leg byes NOT given ...???????? Re: Question on Cricket - chairman - 02-25-2011 but its after the fact on review. Re: Question on Cricket - ketchim - 02-25-2011 In Tennis , after the review : The Point is replayed
Re: Question on Cricket - Captain - 02-25-2011 yes I would protest the lost runs I thinks it should have counted Re: Question on Cricket - Googley - 02-25-2011 it should have been counted once the decision was overturned and batsman ruled not out. Re: Question on Cricket - ketchim - 02-25-2011 Well the Rule in Cricket is very clear : It does NOT count !! c'est la vie  a French phrase.... "Such is life" Re: Question on Cricket - Googley - 02-25-2011 they need to change that rule. The batting team is getting penalized for the umpire's mistake! thats not right. Re: Question on Cricket - ketchim - 02-25-2011 I am with you. The Batsman get shaft ....the ball counts : BUT de Runs do NOT UDRS , cricket model : :
