Kattapana: A five-year old boy who was tortured and beaten mercilessly by his father and stepmother continues to battle for his life at a hospital in Kerala. After a successful surgery four days ago, he is able to breathe without ventilator, but is still not out of danger.
On July 21, the child underwent a tracheotomy surgery, which allows him to breathe without his nose or mouth. Doctors say he was responding positively to it for four days.
