Imran Khan said something that brought home certain realities in that situation to me.
Khan said that if Pakistan is pushed against a wall, that its security was threatened sufficiently he would not hesitate to push the nuclear button!
my immediate reaction was that Khan was a bit hasty then I sat back and all the facts flowed in on me:
Indian is actually 4 to 5 times bigger than Pakistan in every way. that is why Pakistan is quiet in the face of Modi's aggression. Pakistan does not have the conventional mean and resources to engage India in long confrontational stand-off in kashmir
Kashmir has been a long struggl;e between India and Pak and there has been international agreements about the procedure of that struggle. i am guessing that by Modi's action India has broken all those agreements and is no imposing itself on the situation. Indian rules now play, dominate.. and nothing else
India has now imposed the disparity in strength between the 2 nations and Pakistan must now be ready for indian movement that pushes the envelope.
slap a man in his face and he does not retaliate and you feel he is weak and now cuffs him in his belly. where upon attacked takes out a gun and shoots the aggressor and kills him but not before he takes out his own gun and gets off a shot that kills the man he attacked. they are both dead.
I have never seen Narender Singh Modi as anything but an elitist bully quite uninterested in living and let live. why wont they bot resolve that Kashmir issue is beyond me. the issue seems capable of being resolved but they wont. I think Imran is willing to resolve the issue..but is any Indian politician up to that task?
from what I have seen and heard from Imran himself he is quite serious! he will now let Pakistan be subsumed in Indian aggression. I think India can take that to the bank and be prepared to talk on the basis that it is real and it is only so far they can go

India is a nation in need of a revolution..a nation whose Brahmin class needs to be shaken to its core and roots if not removed altogether.
missing from India's general policies is the full interest of the ordinary Indian people
that's my take. if India was a more democratic country Indian might follow a more conciliatory path in the world

Regarding military commitment on foreign soil, India's policy is clear.
The country sends soldiers only on UN peacekeeping missions.
The unclear part is whether Modi "constantly" told Trump "he built a library in Afghanistan".
Both world leaders have a long list of gaffes and overstatements to their credit. :whistle:
