Re: How many of you Men - mapoui - 02-29-2016 Quote:Mapiou - the only thing I can say is that MOTHERs should not train their children..boy or girl to be dependant upon them for everything. IT is your job as a parent to ensure your children know how to cook, clean and take care of themselves. you went to school eh Nargis..all the way to the top levels but you have a mind, a very interesting mind that I don't think even you understand that you do have. I wonder what you would have been had you been born poor with your abiulity, determination and drive. you would have educated yourself anyway, but much more unstructured by the established way..and much less troubled by your traditional environment. what we have seen is nothing in comparison what such a mind as you would have have been developing in the 'wild' so to speak you would have paid an emotional price. it would have been very risky. you may not have survived wholly or in one piece. but if you did you would have been very unusual. as it stands you are going to learn anyway and it may be better this way as the risks are less with the basis you now have. you should be able to stand the emotional buffeting as you come to deal with the way the world really is. starting from young in a world such as you came out of ..man! that would have been something. you are still young..about 30-35 I imagine if that. but what I can suggest is that you open up to experience guided by self interest and love of self regardless. never go otherwise. taken comprehensively subjectivity is the way to approach everything. it is not selfish but subjective, properly the way to go, the way we are born, the only way. you can see everything properly from a subjective perspective and act positively. if you do otherwise it wont work well. but open up, learn all you can learn..live for your self development and all around you will benefit. you will come know what to do and how to do it, and balance things out. you will see your side and every side relatively. that is the challenge of existence, undeniable, unavoidable, and the only answer is the development of your fitness to survive... which means you ability to deal with all you have to in life..which means the development of yourself, your skills, knowldege, experience. no one can do it for you...it is entirely up to you. and it is on such a developed basis we can make the best, most effective relationship deals and compromises essential for survival, to be able to predict things and be ready and prepared to deal with them if/when they become real, or to pre-empt them and so on. all very interesting, challenging..life by sight not by faith...faith which leads nowhere but to failure and disappointment Re: How many of you Men - mapoui - 02-29-2016 Quote:I used to think before time that whenever I got married I would want to quit my job and stay home...after these last couple months...I have completely changed my mind. Working and earning and learning only makes for a stronger mind and stronger sense of self. That is something I wont give up. precisely! thats what I mean..the 'good mind' as I call it..ability to process experience, develop insight and act accordingly relevant to ones best interest, based on what has come to learn Re: How many of you Men - ketchim - 02-29-2016 Do NOT open a Marriage Counseling service , Maps :-[ Re: How many of you Men - Nargis - 02-29-2016 mapoui it has nothing to do with rich or poor. every human being is born with the want and need, i believe anyway, to be independent and to want a sense of 'freedom'. not one of us wants to be dominated by another to a point where we are subservient to the other. what it really depends is the level of educated and forward thinking minds your society is made up of. you live with ppl who are of an inferior mind, they will seek power to control others and to make themselves feel better. and that inferiority is passed down from generation to generation. when i met my husband first, he admitted he didnt know how to do anything...cleanin cooking etc bc his mother did everything. granted she could cause she is a housewife. However that should have never been the reason he wasnt taught how to do those basic things like making tea. after living with me for about 4-5months now...he cleans, cooks a little and makes tea/coffee for us whenever. I had to teach this man how to crack an egg...learn to turn on a stove or oven. you think my brother could have ever come home and asked my mother "when is dinner ready?"...he would have received a good belna to the head.
