What has Dw getting a 5for against an incompetent team in getting 20 odd runs with 4 wickets in hand has to do with an opening position vacated by Gayle?

Dwayne Smith is an Opening Bats like Devon.
Dwayne Smith Open for International teams : Devon does Not.
Dwayne Smith bowls military medium and can take a 5Fer : Devon cannot
Gayle also bowl in Test matches as well as Open the batting :
