As expected, Steven Finn has been ruled out for the entire series due to his stress fracture. Chris Jordan has been called up to replace him for the remainder of the tour.

Pakistan reach 389/4 at lunch. A very successful morning for them, adding more than 100 runs without losing a wicket. They will have their eyes firmly set on the current highest first innings score here of 584 set by South Africa in 2010.

Great double century by Mailk and Pakistan is looking very good for the win! I predicted that England will have a tough time because they are not at home and so the English dull and cold weather will not be aiding their swing bowlers.

So far so good with the Bat and Moeen  Wink

This man seized the chance for sure

Re: Michael Vaughan: Moeen Ali should open batting - dillinger10 - 10-15-2015

Mo out for a very tentative 35. It's not often that Cook is the dominant batsman in any partnership, but he looked for more comfortable and aggressive than Mo, who to be honest, never really got going but never looked in too much danger. It was a very stodgy innings that lacked his usual free flowing flair.

Re: 1st Test: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi - dillinger10 - 10-15-2015

Moeen Ali out for 35. A solid opening partnership of 116 with neither batsman looking troubled. Moeen will be kicking himself for playing at a ball he could have left alone. It was a very unusual innings from him, he looked tentative and rather stodgy. Ian Bell comes to the crease owing England a big knock for two key dropped catches in Pakistan's first innings.

England 122/1 at lunch. Ian Bell looking all at sea so far. Not encouraging signs from him.
