The moment religion is put under a microscope and subject to scrutiny it loses it's veneer and legitimacy as the repository for knowledge and about how we should live our lives. The internet, thankfully, has been a great aider and abettor in this process. 8) Re: The Internet: Where religions come to die - Snoopster - 10-15-2014 And by the way Ketch. Is there really a need to pay homage to and venerate what is most likely a piece of meteorite? You know, the stuff that falls from the 'heavens' to earth on a nightly basis. ::LOL::

See, even you have the ability to use reason and rationality to better understand something for what is really is (ie. the "stone of heaven is really a common meteorite") instead of slavishly following religious superstition and myth. The internet is truly a marvel of modern times. 8) Re: The Internet: Where religions come to die - ketchim - 10-15-2014 To rephrase this thread headline : The Internet: where folks pack up and go DIE for religion ! http://www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2014/09/28/what_do_we_do_about_canadians_joining_isis.html Re: The Internet: Where religions come to die - ketchim - 10-15-2014 They maintain elaborate Twitter and Instagram accounts, which are frequently updated with pictures from their travels in various hot spots ! Damian had told his Mom that he was going to the Middle East to study Arabic and Islam. As his conversion to Islam had brought him new-found peace of mind, Boudreau supported her son’s decision. A few weeks later, she got a call from Damian and she noticed that the country code was Turkish. When he called again a little while later, the country code was Syrian. http://www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2014/09/28/what_do_we_do_about_canadians_joining_isis.html |
