not really! its that those who run forwardly all do so at around the same rates of speed..which isn't all that fast.
yet its a mile and a half so they must be mindful of energy conservation.
it is possible however for a horse to try to take them wire to wire..but that horse wont be #1 Joevia. I don't think he can last a mile and a half going at any rate of speed. it could be Intrepid Heart however.
IH is a better horse than Joevia and is speedy too. and Velasquez knows that..so he could take off and go all the way.
Wow is pretty fast too. I am very impressed with is Preakness win. that was a very nice race, fast too. that's what I like about it..46 - 1:10 into 1:54 for a mile and 3/16. I don't think Joevia can do that unless he is a throwback into the likes of his fifth generation of ancestors...even to third generation Affirmed or Foolish Pleasure.
Joevia has shown no indication of that. Foolish Pleasure, and Affirmed for sure... would eat this 2019 10 horse Belmont field for breakfast, lunch and dinner
