Anyway ,instead of focusing on GUYANA being the U19 champs in both Formats :

Lets concentrate on the lowly Bangladesh AT HOME.

and ask the obvious : Why are the Youths NOT given a Chance.

Forget Guyana as Champions :

where is Jermaine Blackwood ???

Ha ha ha ha...... you guys make me laugh......

You are crying for Butt, Sammy and Gibson to go he delievers that and you say he has done nothing.

He has rolled out the retainers, franchise and education and yet that is not good enough.

And noteworthiness, incompetence etc not restricted to anyone. You should know that.

Smile Smile Smile Smile

Those Cries went on for Years :

Muirhead just made Pybus the " front man "....to execute.

For a chap whom ignores the relevance of 19 years old  introduction :

and debut against a lowly ranked Opposition AT HOME :

The laugh should be shared ....ha ha ha !  Wink

Is there not a growth process to have players go through the process up to first class cricket for several seasons and reasons not least learning, maturing, experience, and importantly teach them the value of working hard through the ranks to eventually wear the colours so when they get it, they do not want to throw it away because of their hard work.

Red Herring post !  :-[

Shiv would never be here 20 years later ...

Sarwan would never had TIE Sir Viv 291 versus England !

Brian Lara was given a raw deal : we could have seen more of him **sigh**

Re: **** Mickey Arthur to be Windies new Coach ??? **** - Mail - 08-22-2014

No Red Herring pal.

Shiv had FC experience when he made his debut against england at Bourda, a debut I saw and he was able enough in scoring 50+ or so on debut.

Players, unless they are exceptional, should be allowed to develop as they will give you more in time rather than now.

However you point is duly noted.

Re: **** Mickey Arthur to be Windies new Coach ??? **** - ketchim - 08-22-2014

You do know how i.e ., the politics played ?

To get him to play at Bouda ??

It was NOT a WICB vision .... :-[

Re: **** Mickey Arthur to be Windies new Coach ??? **** - Mail - 08-22-2014

Listen whatever teh politics, Shiv played and the rest is history.

What I also know is that Sarwan and Lara were exceptional before they debuted and had notable FC records.

I find this notion of taking an U19 to the International arena is suicide whether you think the FC competion is 'dung heap' or not. That is what they have available.

We all know how teh home tests have worked for many years, not so much these days.

We know of recent examples of Cummings at Kensington against the Saffers and Dereck Murray at QPO etc.

For every Cummings there is a Croft : for every Derek  there is a Ramdin.
