Kwams,
If you are happy then I am with you.
As a born Christian I had questions and researched extensively.
My children became practising Muslims because of me and I did only last year.
If what you belief is the truth for you and you feel full comfort then I am with you.
In the end we have to account for ourselves.
What I would say is having and idol made by ketchim would be different to the one I made, even if we had similar moulds.
I can give you reference to the Vedas showing you your understanding contradicts your beliefs.
The Shruti is the revelation as opposed to the Smriti, learned or from practice.
There is no gold standard but there is the truth and we can decide that for ourselves and, as humans, we need to respect people's rights to practice accordingly.

Oh yeah, well not sure about it's an "English vs Saffie" thing, but I agree regarding Dirtbag especially. It's nuts to let him continue. He bowls unadulterated garbage and hit me balls. If he plays in T20 WC, I'll ROFL and die.
Lumb is a handy T20 player though, as in he could do fine as an opener with Hales.

A rather unnecessary stroke really, I think he was trying to find the gap over midwicket but got it wrong,
it carried very comfortably to the deep fielder
