yeah but my contract states that i have to give 21 days notice
if my resignation letter states my last day is october 10 - do i have to give them an extra day for the thanksgiving holiday? also if i refues to work after that can they hold my vacation pay? i have 9 days left

i would say they wont pay the 9 days if you dont give 3 weeks

Generally the 21 days is 21 consecutive days. What did HR advise you?

both places i have worked they buy your 2 weeks notice......basically the day you hand in your resignation, they ask you to pack your personals and security walk you to the gate!!

actually the contract just says 21 days.

so she accepted my October 12 last day which is 2 weeks and i will get my vaca pay and everything
