Re: 1st Test - England v West Indies - Captain - 08-17-2017

will be a long day/night for the WI bowlers

1.30pm Here's the toss...England have won the toss and will bat. "Looks a good wicket, need to make sure we start well. It's a very exciting time and very new for everyone."
England Cook, Stoneman, Westley, Root, Malan, Stokes, Bairstow, Moeen, Roland-Jones, Broad, Anderson
Jason Holder says he would have batted as well, feels West Indies have prepared well. Shannon Gabriel doesn't play - "he's not quite ready after injury" - which means that Roach, Joseph and Cummins make up an all-pace frontline attack alongside Holder. Roston Chase will provide spin. A debut for Kyle Hope[/color
West Indies Brathwaite, Powell, S Hope, K Hope, Chase, Blackwood, Dowrich, Holder, Roach, Joseph, Cummins

Lovely blue skies above Edgbaston as the West Indies team have a final huddle on the edge of the boundary. There's still plenty of people queuing outside to get in - and, by the looks of the forecast, they'll get a full evening's play.

Stoneman will be very nervous but he'll be thinking it's his chance and that he will grab it with both hands. I think Stoneman could be the one.
