West Indies boosted by final - Darren Sammy - zsk77 - 04-02-2016
West Indies' run to the final of the World Twenty20 is a boost to Caribbean cricket, says captain Darren Sammy.
West Indies have won only one Test series since 2013 and have been dogged by financial disputes, but both men and women have reached their T20 finals and the U19s won the World Cup in February.
"We came on a mission inspired by the under-19s and the ladies," said Sammy.
"Now we have two West Indies teams in the final and I know that means a lot to the Caribbean."
As part of financial disputes with the West Indies Cricket Board, players pulled out of a tour of India in 2014 and only signed contracts to take part in the World Twenty20 a month before it was due to start.

It’s in India where Bayliss has truly established himself among the T20 coaching elite.
He took on the head coaching job of the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 2012 season
Bayliss led KKR to their inaugural IPL title in his first season at the helm
and backed up again last year to lift the trophy for a second time.

There have been just 5 prior T20I matches played at Eden Gardens. Not a lot of data to work with, but a few pertinent numbers:

Average score is 135. Average first innings score is 147.

This current England crop of players have the potential to not only become number 1 in tests, ODI and T20s but can dominate.
I expect us to win today but congratulations to both teams for getting to the final and I wish both teams the very best.
