Before you start crying over the bodies of dead kids, remember... 1. Afghanistan was ruled by the Brits and a monarchy 2. The Russians kicked out the monarchs and put in a modern government 3. There were no major religious psycho groups in Afghanistan during the early half of the 20th century. For about 2 decades, the nation was quite modern, progressive and moderate (and with the largest number of atheists in the mid east, and the largest number of female politicians) 4. The US starts coups in Afghanistan and start assassinating the heads of state. Their coups fail. They need help. 5. The US dedicates at least 3 billion dollars to forming insurgent groups in Pakistan 6. The US starts ferrying radical Islamists from all over the world to Pakistan, and begins arming and training them 7. Pakistan is south of Afghanistan. The US moves these groups - loosely dubbed the Taliban - to the Pakistani/Afghan borders. 8. While it does this, the US trains radical Islamist groups within Afghanistan 9. The US ferrys its new proxy army out of Pakistan and into Afghanistan. The two "armies" link up. The US lures both with promises of a Pan-Islamic kingdom. The Taliban are told they will rule this kingdom. 10. Russia tries to help the local Afghans - all ordinary muslims, or secular people - fight off these Medieval nutcases 11. Russia goes broke and leaves Afghanistan. Every muslim with money or education leaves Afghanistan. 12. Psycho Taliban take over Afghanistan. 13. As usual, their objective achieved, the US dedicates their buddies, the Taliban, their new enemy. 14. The Taliban and the US go to War. 15. The war lasts a long time. 16. Tired of wasting money, and losing a media war at home, the US gets the Pakistani government to negotiate the retreat of the Taliban out of Afghanistan and into the northern territories of Pakistan. The Taliban are promised this region as "theirs". They will have rule there. 17. The Taliban, once promised Afghanistan by the US, are now promised northern Pakistan. Some leave. 18. The Taliban who dont leave, are bribed with positions within the new Afghan government. 19. The US declares the "war in Afghanistan" won. 20. The Taliban in Pakistan now rule a little chunk of desert. 21. The Pakistani Army, with help from the US, has them cornered in a long strand of mountainous desert along the borders. The US and Pakistan spend years killing the Taliban, who arent just "soldiers", but families, women and children. 22. Realizing this is a crappy thing to do, many Pakistanis within the government sympathise with the Taliban. 23. In retaliation for these attacks by the Pakistani army and US drones, the Taliban launch terrorist attacks on Pakistan. This goes on for years. 24. In 2014, the Pakistan Army launches a full scale attack on the northern borders. Hundreds of Taliban die, including kids and women 25. The Taliban, seeking vengeance, raid an-Army run school and kill numerous kids in cold blood 25. The whole world condemns Taliban. Entire global media ignores all historical context. 26. Sanctimonious people start blaming "religion". George Bush sits back and drinks your milkshake. Sanctimonious people start b****ing about "religion". George Bush sits back and drinks your milkshake. [/quote] What a bunch of sanctimonious pseudo-intellectual babble. Here you have a bunch of blood thirsty murderers who kill indiscriminately and wantonly based on their idiotic religious beliefs. If these cretins had their way they would think nothing of committing atrocities en masse in order to fulfill their infantile beliefs and retard all human progress and development. Your ideas that there exists historical justification and excuses for these acts of barbarism don't wash one bit with me. You'll have to do better than that.
