Obviously so ... as the thread reads a whole lot differently now as to what I previously read before re Meseret .....
My only reason for re-visiting the thread was because I spoke to my Mom and by sheer coincidence she said how deeply saddened she was at the unexpected death of a young friend and she said more or less what VB said in her posts .... so it is the same person.
It would seem Mom knew VB's 'niece in law' very well and went to the funeral ... very sad !!!

Hello. I am new at the forum and I was looking over all the posts and saw yours. The subject touched my heart and I felt compelled to reach out to you. You see, I haven't been touched by death very much in my life, but 2 years ago my father past away. We were very close for as long as I can remember. "They" say that out of bad times comes good, and now I know what that means.
My sister and I were never close because of our age difference and because I always received all the attention from the family, being the youngest. There was a wedge between us. The death of our father was so traumatic, to the both of us, that we, almost immediately, started to hold on to each other for support. Now, all the resentments are gone and we are close like sisters should be. We have such a fulfilling relationship now. So, what I am trying to say is that because of that one terrible event there came something beautiful.
I know that it hurts when something tragic strikes us, but if we look hard enough, we will find that something positive is there for us to recognize.
