Chutney music, as it is, has evolved over the years from Bhojpuri. And so when Guyanaese, Surinamese, Trinis, and even the smattering of Jamaicans lay claim to it, they are all correct. It is part of their shared heritage.

I think we came from all over... most of indo came from bihar though
most of the bihari was shipped off to berbice ...
berbician cooks differently from the demerara people.. and that's a fact . :cheesy: ::rofl::

I don't know but the people of Berbice are magnanimous!
We are simple, easy going and rather pleasant. So maybe that has an effect on how we cook also.
