I see.  My understanding was that only male brahmins were allowed to perform rituals and hence become pundits.

arya samaj  like budhaism are not part of hinduism

Never heard of a religion called Arya Samaj before.  I have however met folks who claim to be members of an Arya Samaj Hindu temple and they were sure they were all Hindus.  I'm totally confused. ::confused::

Time to contact Professors Google and Wikipedia. ::lol::

they are not part of santanah dharmic in the literal sense, however they both derived from it.
