I also know Leon for the past 10 years or so and even if he has done well over recent years I never, ever thought of him as a good player. I always knew he was not good. nothing against the man personally but he is not good enough
Leon reminds me of a left handed opener BG had back in the late 90's early 2000. he went to RSA and bombed. his name slips me right now.
he too used to score but was no good save against poor opposition

lAMBERT OPENED WITH a bAJAN TEST for a couple of tests..A big hitting opener who slammed england at Kensington, went to RSA and promptly got sick and never played for the west indies again

right! he was'nt good at all against top class bowling.
yet they might have brought him back against england etc. but I don't even recall him playing much for Bim after 1999

It looks as though he came back home after that tour of South Africa and played just 34 more matches for BIM - averaging 34.36 - before calling it a day.
