At the close of yesterday's second day, Jamaica laboured to 222-9, still 88 runs behind Barbados, who were bowled out for 310.

The 22-year-old Warrican, getting the ball to spin and turn appreciably on the abrasive looking Sabina batting surface, held a suffocating grip on the Jamaican batsmen to take 7-68 in a marathon spell of 38 overs.

He bowled unchanged from the northern Courtney Walsh End and shared 72 of the 88 overs in the innings with slow-bowling partner, off-spinner Ashley Nurse, who captured 2-96 off 34 overs.
