I don't think you can really blame him for the rest of the line up failing, it isn't his fault.
Someone needs to bat with Chanderpaul and build a partnership. A few partnerships and you will not be bowled out so cheaply.

Check this:
* When Shiv played his 50th test in 2002 against Pakistan he scored 66 and 0
* When Shiv played his 100th test against Pakistan in 2006 he scored only 14 in the one innings he batted in
* Shiv will be playing his 150th test next week---don't expect much----but a NOT OUT would be nice.
