I am wondering if this defeat of Afghanistan would help us in any significant way to move up the rankings. Afghanistan is not in the top tier, therefore I don't believe that this result will be of any great significance to the West Indies's cause.

The West Indies captain in his post match was trying to make a somewhat sort of a big deal of the win against Afghanistan but I don't see anything here to be upbeat about. I admit that the team did what was expected of them because if they had lost there would have been hell to pay. Apart from that, it's just a minor achievement against a third rate team.
