Ivor Mendonca actually descended from Portuguese, funny that he ended up being a relevant player in a sport with no tradition in Portugal.

lol my mistake sorry, after all Portuguese quarter North is actually a location (Maha Kali Mandir) in Port Mourant, that did produce some famous cricket players:
