Sourav Ganguly confirms on-air that he will not be able to play in the tournament due to a back injury he sustained playing in the Cricket All-Stars series in the US.
Edit: Sangakkara goes for 86, but not before scoring a stonking 44 runs off the final 11 balls he faced. Given the bowling that has been on offer so far, there is a good chance one team is going to put up a score of 300 in this tournament.

I see Fidel finished with figures of 4/33. Jayawardene is currently making things look very easy. I am very eager to see Shane Bond bowl, given his injury history, I just hope his arm doesn't fly off
