Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - Calypso - 03-14-2015
West Indian fans have largely lost interest. We will see the if the crowds are larger for the tests or the ODIs vs England.
[i] I agree that fans have lost interest and rightly so. Reckon for both formats the crowd attendance will be poor, but moreso for the Tests .... :-[ A lot will depend on how WI fare in this WC[i] Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - Calypso - 03-14-2015
How much longer can he play given bad back and probably bad form? [
Announcement soon come ..........very soon Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - boquiesse - 03-14-2015 Actually surprisingly England are only playing 2 warm up matches and 3 tests in the Caribbean. No ODIs or T20s. One test in in Grenada where there have not been any games for a few years. Might get a few spectators there. Of course there is a test in Barbados and the crowds there might be half decent. As far as I know there is absolutely no attempt to market the tests to the other Caribbean islands and North America. By this I mean, for example, packages that include test match tickets and reasonably priced accommodation. Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - ketchim - 03-14-2015 Bokie , see it as a business opportunity for yourself : Put togther a package for Guyana's Jungle and Kaieteur Falls
Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - boquiesse - 03-14-2015 There is no test in Guyana. Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - ketchim - 03-14-2015 Guyana to Granada is a piece of cake ... Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - Rowe992 - 03-14-2015 Well Gayle may retire from test cricket soon and so I think he will only be focusing on the shorter forms of the game. I think he may even decide to retire from one day cricket and only play t20 where he earns the majority of his money. Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - elcosteno - 03-15-2015 West Indies will hope that the laconic Chris Gayle has one of his good days, with a repeat of his 215 against Zimbabwe suiting them nicely. Jason Holder and Marlon Samuels could also help them get a decent score if required. Jerome Taylor looks to be the Windies best bet with the ball in hand. Re: How Much Longer For Chris Gayle? - alexmax - 03-16-2015 Gayle should bat at 4 or 5 with about 20 to 30 overs remaining. He can't handle the moving ball as an opener as well anymore |
