In a lengthy statement outlining his case, Powell claimed the director of cricket Richard Pybus accused him of “walking off the jobâ€
and insisted that unless he provided him with written details of the personal issue that prompted his decision
and returned to “grassroots cricketâ€, his chance of getting back into the West Indies team would be compromised.

Well finally the WICB provides some answers. I was wondering what happened to Powell when I saw Devon Smith in the squad. Powell should have played in the regional 4 day season instead of playing in Sri-Lanka if he wanted to represent the West Indies in the up coming series.
