well how would IPL know of these ungrateful players if the Boards did not invest in them and develop them where would they be
All the local Boards should have a contract with these guys before the invest any money in their development

When IPL began , there were NO compensation to the Boards.
This is a recent negotiation ting.

In this country we advocate Sports gambling without which you would not have spot fixing!
The Indians have done very well in my view and when there has been any hint of corruption they have stamped down on it.
I think he is talking a load of rubbish with words as good as his idiotic predictions.
I have lots of time for Botham purely through his fantastic charitable works.

Although i am against it,i would still play the devil's advocate here.Why do you blame it all squarely.?.There is CPL,there is Bigbash.SL league.Many others.If you want to shrug off your blame,blame it on the format.The format is such that you get lured to play in it.
I suggest it be banned,but honestly it isn't fair to blame it completely.

Either way it's pushing it too much, and I'm no massive fan of IPL myself.Although I do kinda agree with the power imbalance bit - although in a more subtle way.

I a m not a fan of IPL myself, but unlike Botham, I am not going to blame the humiliating loss on IPL. IPL is here to stay.

Why would he say that? Maybe its because England are not the best in t20 or odi at the moment. Cricketers don't make nearly as much as other sportsmen and the ipl has contributed significantly to players earnings and so I am in support of it. The ipl brings out more fans than England would do if they played in England for a year.

Eoin Morgan has spoken out in defense of the IPL.
