You do not expose a 17 and 18 year old to Test level when they have not achieved anything. It is more likely this will do more damage than good, in my view.

The Brian Sattuar led team played unbeaten in both formats and could provided a stern test
for their much more senior counterparts as they replace the President’s X1 :
as the fourth team in the competition in what must be seen as a wonderful developmental
plan by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB :-*
For the teenagers to rub shoulders with their more experienced players, many of whom
would have played at the Test and First-Class levels.
The Under-19 unit, which includes First-Class players Taignarine Chanderpaul
and Shemron Hetmyer, has the ability to beat the County teams,
especially in the limited overs version. 8)
