when I want too look at beautiful TO I go to east to the beach in the beaches and look back west...fantastic view. its really nice out there. or go west to the lake shore out there and look east..or drive through Hyde Park or Bridle Path and the various parks like Wilket Creek Park at Leslie and Eglington. you can BBQ up in there to your hearts content. take a lime in, cook the food and relax
I see your point about down town. I agree! yet for me there is still interest. that Spadina area you mentioned is still truly interesting for me...without end..all of it..up to college and west including kensington market and china town. more food.. the centre of my life.
there a few views that I cant get enough off, looking towards the lake from high points in TO. if you ever at the top of young street, just south of sheppard, just before the dip under the 401 looking south..the view is massive.
then looking south along University Avenue from top the front steps of Queens Park..or looking up the same street from the top floors of say, #1 York Street.
I get mesmerized by those views..enthralled.
but I understand your point of view
{ I have to admit. I bawlin' about condos but I am a landlord down there too. just a small one one one all the same. I want to get out and I will..prolly by this time next year}
