Sri Lanka get their first of the morning. Steyn bowled by Lakmal. 290 for 6. Still Duminy and Philander to come
Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v South Africa - bala24 - 07-17-2014
Since SA have already gone past the 400 mark...JP Duminy needs to hit out now.As an SA fan I really hope we can get Sanga and Mahela out quickly when they bat...
Philander and steyn can pose questions later.

Re: 1st Test: Sri Lanka v South Africa - ketchim - 07-17-2014
A stubborn Vernon Philander scored 27 and shared a 75-run partnership with JP Duminy;
that took the score close to 400
Vernon apologise for not being in a Jamaica Tallawah uniform today ::LOL::

Lanka were thwarted further when Morne Morkel combined with Duminy for a 66-run ninth-wicket stand

* They may be labeled tailenders based on their batting positions----8 thru 11----but let's take a look at the test batting averages of Steyn, Philander and Morkel
27.45---Philander's batting average
14.26---Steyn
11.96---Morkel
* Those blokes are no rabbits with the bat and could frustrate bowlers when they put their minds to batting.

THE ENGLISH TAIL
* Stokes averages 31.00 with the bat
* Broad 24.23
* Anderson 11.06
No rabbits above---those blokes could frustrate bowlers when they put their minds to it.
