Sammy is one of crickets best ambassadors. A true sportsman, he played the game hard but in the true spirit. Yes he was often not the best suited for test cricket, but he took over at a tine when WI cricket needed a committed and well disciplined player. And Sammy rose to the occasion. He led from the front and was a tough cricketer on the field. He will always be remembers for his contributions and for winning the T 20 World Cup. Yes he is not finished yet. Good enough to play ODIs and T 20s for the next three years for sure.

I think the hate is because he knew he had previously not been selected for tests because he could not merit a spot but showed no integrity when offered role by saying I am not best suited.
I think most people if approached would mention a few more capable if they are not.
Pleasant enough lad but no integrity. Also fellow Lucians got him in.
A captain is as good as the talent he has so Denesh would have a real challenge but most believe, as do I, he is the best option.
Against the kiwis he might be without Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Kirk Edwards, Samuels etc.
