IPL: Asad Rauf charged in IPL spot-fixing scandal
Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf has been charged by police in relation to the spot-fixing scandal
in this year's Indian Premier League.
Gurunath Meiyappan, son-in-law of the Indian cricket board's (BCCI) president, has also been charged.

He was the Team principal of the IPL team CSK,but owing to some betting scandals which proved that he as involved in betting,he was disavowed in quick time.He is out on bail now and claims he is just a normal guy with no firms/teams to own.sadly,he portrays the face of IPL.

In an order with far-reaching implications, the RM Lodha committee has suspended Indian Cements and Jaipur IPL,
the owners of the Chennai Super Kings for a period of two years.
