Simmons, Athurton...I call these guys swag with no skill. And Hooper: swag with no concentration.
These guys were all ego.
Richie and Viv had a little cartel going on, and influenced which players got picked. Richie could bat though, and was excellent in the 80s, especially vs the Aussies.

True stuff...although I held a lil Back for Simmons due to his head injury by D Lawerence the english pace demon. dat had to have had some effect on him..a reducing effect.
Simmo was also a brilliant fieldsman and decent bowler. Hoops too. but Athurton was simply impse
