The whole purpose of High ratio mortgages.
CMHC was CREATED to ensure people like new immigrants can OWN a home :
WITH just 5 %
It is a Federal Agency ( that is owned by the people )

The " expensive " Premium is added on the the mortgage.
AND you have 25 years amortization to Repay over that 300 payments
Besides , it is a declining premium amount between 5 % - 15% down payment !

Mergers and Acquisitions are the money making line of CA firms
SO is Initial Public Offerings ( IPOs) of shares and debentures in those " acquired " companise !
Investment bankers are also known as Venture capitalists .
