Today is the final day on the English cricket season. With the excitement of the world cup and the keenly contested ashes series, the season was very interesting.
Unfortunately, some counties have really struggled. One of them is Nottinghamshire. They have gone through an entire season and not won one 4 day cricket match, finishing last and being relegated.
On that basis, it should the last day as coaches, at least for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, for Mick Newell, Paul Franks and Matt Wood. They have proved themselves to be consistent failures, so they should do the decent thing and resign for the sake of the club.
I doubt very much that they will do so though because you need integrity to make those decisions, but they all sadly lack that.
They are some great coaches and very respectable people around Nottingham and should be given a chance now. Darren Bicknall, James Hindson and David Lucas are some coaches who would do a far better job.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
