When West Indies' Keemo Paul effected a mankad to claim the last Zimbabwe Under-19 wicket
it divided cricketing opinion.
Many current and former players took to Twitter to condemn the act.

Disgraceful behaviour in the U19CWC. WI's should be embarrassed!!
Stephen Fleming @SPFleming7
Right or wrong, just a sad way to end a good game especially with so much on the line

Amazed that the spirit of the game never comes up when batsmen hit the ball and stay on
but does when a bowler mankads a batsman....

I said this in the Under-19 thread, while I would have preferred to have seen the last over play itself out, it was within the rules, so if you want to get upset with anyone, you should be upset with the MCC. While I would have never done this myself, if it is not considered within the spirit of the game, then remove it from the laws, simple as that. It is a bit of a shame that the brilliance of this match will best be remembered for the way it ended.

West Indies Under-19 entered the quarter-final of the World Cup in controversial and tense circumstances,
as Keemo Paul effected a mankad to claim the last Zimbabwe Under-19 wicket - that of Richard Ngarava -
with three runs needed off the final over.
Kemo ran through the bowling crease without entering his delivery stride and broke the stumps,
catching the non-striker Ngarava with his bat on the line
while he was standing a couple of steps out of his crease.

The Zimbabwe coach Stephen Mangongo :
"I have debriefed the boys in the dressing room and they were all crying,
We have explained that technically the run-out is legal.
We left it to the last man and we should not have done that.
It was a hard lesson and they have learnt it the hard way."

Such is life, ketch
I do find it interesting that there is a divide even among batsman and bowlers. Some bowlers think it is cheating, some batsman think that as it is within the laws of the game, it is perfectly legitimate.
All that being said, those that have gone on Twitter to hurl abuse should be ashamed of themselves. I know that Ian Bishop was the target of a fair amount of harsh words.
