The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Saturday announced the national team squad for the Zimbabwe tour.
The squad includes Noor Ali zadran, Osman Ghani, Javed Ahmadi, Asghar Stanekzai, Rahmat Shah, Samiullah Shinwari, Mohammad Nabi Esakhil, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Shafiqullah Shafaq, Merewais AShraf, Ghulbadin Naib, Shpoor Zadran, Dawlat Zadran.
Aftab Alam, Hamza Hotak, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Mohammad Mujtaba, Karim Sadiq, Najeeb Tarakay, Shabir Noori, Mohibullah Oryakhil, Nasir Jamal, Qasim, Fazal Niazi, Yameen Ahmadzai and Abdullah Adil.
The Afghanistan national cricket team will play a series of matches against Zimbabwe next month, which will start from 18th July and will include four one day international (ODI) and two test matches.
The ODI matches are scheduled to be organized on 18th, 20th, 21st and 24th of July, while the two test matches will be played on 27th July and 2nd August, the officials said.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Chief Executive, Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad said the upcoming series against Zimbabwe is a major event for the Afghan team.
Dr. Murad said the series has been organized with an aim to prepare the Afghan team for the ICC World Cup 2015.
