Dinesh Chandimal was in the middle of several mini conferences during the Bangladesh chase, and at the end of the 16th over, he held his own by bringing back Lasith Malinga. Nasir Hossain got out and Sri Lanka went ahead and sensed victory even as the 20th over began. But Malinga was done, he had bowled the 19th, so Thisara Perera was given the ball and he almost gave it away. Anamul Haque blasted 14 runs in the final over and Bangladesh fell short by just two runs.

Why no love for Bangla boys here? I think they played very well - captaincy was terrible - the most economical bowler had one more over left and they didn't bowl him - so he has to take good share of the blame for leaking runs, Mortaza.

Anamul, what a player though. He's a genuine find for Bangla boys. And their resurgence across formats have been spectacular, offlate. Well played despite the loss - vs the NO. 1 team, BD.

Bangla tigers made this match nail biting one. Anamol couldn't hit away the last ball of Perera.
