Well talk about your abstract concept, but I have to say that I like it. It can be open to so much interpretation and is really up to the viewer to determine what they find and they are attracted to. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they do say. I think that it would apply in all representations that we look for in the world around us.

I love Babyface's song, "Every Time I Close My Eyes" and even memorised its lyrics back in high school, lol. Then of course, there's Brian McKnight! I think he has many songs that represent true love. For example, "Back at One," and "6, 8, 12." He can just write songs that tug at your heart and make you cry as well.

Love the history beyond these guys, and I've heard my parents speak about some of these lyrics before. Pretty amazing.

I hope you don't mind me adding this, Maps. It's been a while since anyone posted a song in this thread.
I was fortunate enough to have spent many a night with Glen Adams in his studio. Wonderful memories that I often look back on with great fondness. "Capo" was an incredibly talented musician and producer, but an even nicer guy.

Here's another favourite song of mine, "Why can't it be?" It's covered by Nina, a local singer.
I think another local artist, Rannie Raymond, is the original singer of this song. It's a bit of a heartbreak song but it's more for lovers who can't be together.
