The Trumpian saga: Since Trump occupied the White House there has been a health pandemic that led to a mental health pandemic; a financial crisis for everyone except for the super rich who have become wealthier under Trump; a spate of fires and consequential destruction never seen before in the US; violence in communities across the nation on an unprecedented scale and a changing national psyche as Trumpists embrace lying, racism, white nationalism and its spawn, white supremacy, rightist extremism and unrelenting invasion of people's privacy, an upsurge in immigration and religious bias and derogation of women across the land. As well American's quality of life has deteriorated, fueled by a massive attack on the environment and other safeguards, while our status and reputation across the globe has taken a steep battering. And yet large swathes of Americans continue to embrace Trump and his persona...is the real nature of half of America finally coming to fore?

Just how prepared was Biden for last night's debate? The fact is that he allowed many openings to go abegging when he could have delivered knockouts to Trump and he simply allowed Trump to get away with many lies that he could have responded to. For example Biden was quiet as Trump blitzed him as a tool of the “radical left” and a weak figure who opposes “law and order.” He pressed Biden repeatedly to name any police union that’s endorsed him. He falsely accused Biden of wanting to “defund the police.” Biden didn’t capitalize when Trump refused to condemn armed militias and insisted, against the guidance of his own FBI director: “This is not a right-wing problem. This is a left-wing problem.” He did not zoom in on Republicans’ 2016 blocking of Merrick Garland to the high court that would have allowed him to show GOP's double standards. He did not point out that a vaccine should already have been available and that Trump's 'soon enough' has been negated by all stakeholders. He did not drive home the point about no health care plan from Trump or that his 'miracle economy' was simply a continuation of what had started under Obama and him. He could have pointed out that the report on his son was partisan and had no supporting evidence for the various allegations and then he could haver countered with a number of points about Trump and his family. He failed to respond to Trump's attack on him not being smart as he could have challenged Trump to let them both release their college transcripts on the one hand and then point out that someone else wrote Trump's college entrance exam.

It is not yet October, Congress and every State government must immediately do everything possible to secure and count every vote in an organized, timely fashion. Nothing else should matter.

“I get it, and I understand it," says Donald Trump. Then he briefly leaves the hospital to salute cheering supporters from his motorcade. The surprising move raised new questions about his understanding of the deadly coronavirus that has killed more than 209,000 Americans.
At least one medical professional inside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where Trump has been hospitalized since Friday evening, questioned whether Trump had really learned anything about the virus that has swept through Republican leadership.
“Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity,” Dr. James P. Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed, tweeted.

NBC Medical Unit: According to the CDC, Trump would be considered contagious for 10-20 days from onset of symptoms, depending on the severity of his disease. That means he might still be contagious if he travels to Miami for the presidential debate.
