the sweetest basketball I ever lived..among my best memories those two seasons way back when.

Dennis Johnson and Jack Sikma are my 2 all time fave basketball players..Lenny Wilkens my greatest coach.

andthe Bullets Bobby Dandridge, "The Truth'', was the player I loved to hate most. Dandridge was great but he was in the way of the team I loved..Seattle. he and the Bullets beat Seattle the year before. I couldn't wait for revenge

I knew basketball from home. Trinidad had lots of basketball..and a lot of basketball connections to the USA

Lew Alcindor aka Kareem Abdul Jabbar is part of the Alcindor family of Trinidad..the top member of which was lawyer, magistrate Francis Alcindor

Our tall boys were all Intellect and Academics.
Guyana Afros wanted to be Doctors and Lawyers
and their sport of choice was the colonial CRICKET !

we did not even compete in Track and Field
BUT produced great writers and theorists from our Afro segment of SIX races !
