The Jets have been 3-5 at the halfway point in each of the past two seasons on the way to a 5-11 finish. On Sunday, the Jets are trying to avoid making it three years in a row.
They will have to do so shorthanded, as injuries have taken a toll on their roster — and against a 3-3 Bears team that is hungry for a win after two consecutive losses.
“It’s definitely crunch time,” Jets defensive end Leonard Williams said. “We’re at midseason. We’re right in the middle of it. It’s right there for us to take or right there for us to lose. With that being said, we have to go out there and win this. We can’t let it slip away from us. We have to just take it. We want it. I can feel it. I can feel they guys’ energy. I think we’re going to have a good game this weekend.”
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
