Why did you not deal with him the way you deal with petulant children or suborn people. Why use threats and intimidation? If the person is averse to logic and reason and is an imbecile treat them like one.

the community can be whatever it wants to be. we already self police, no pornography or much use of cursing.
people can be hateful, but if it requires insults or threats give them the boot. every place needs rules.

“Although free speech is an important value, it is not the only one. Human dignity, equality, freedom to live without harassment, abuse and intimidation, social harmony, mutual respect, and protection of one’s good name and honour are also central to the good life and deserve to be safeguarded. Because these values conflict, either inherently or in particular contexts, they need to be balanced.†- Bhikhu Parekh
"Emotional harm is equal in intensity to that experienced by the body, and is even more long-lasting and traumatic. As the victims of hate speech suffer as much as or more than victims of hate crime, why should speech be exempt from public welfare concerns when its social costs can be even more injurious?" - Prof. Thane Rosenbaum
"Man up and stop being a damn cry baby." - Shivnarine Chanderpaul to Darren Bravo (2014)
The Wulfman thread was basically 12 pages of watching someone spew hate speech at a 1920s KKK rally. He mixed old racist insults with some violence, sex, rape and "science". Everything Wulfman said was contested or ridiculed or agreed with by other forum members, so I personally don't think the thread should have been deleted; it had some educational purpose.
At the same time, the stuff he said was hardcore. I can imagine it troubling many people. It was, afterall, a type of abuse.
Chairman now faces the age old problem of balancing free speech with freedom from persecution. I don't know if there is any right answer. At the very least Chairman should clarify for us whether or not "Windians can't bat!" constitutes hate speech, because we all gonna be yelling that in 2 days time.

I think it's fair to issue at least one warning on racial slurs. Let me tell you people that Pattycake is no stranger to riled speech. Ketch keep going on about Wulf, but he haven't seen half of the s*** I have faced with people pissed off by my comments. ::LOL::
And I'm telling you peeps,
Patty can take it. ::LOL::
But nevertheless, I still say that the racial remarks should be outlawed.

Huh ??? .... I never threatened to delete anyone. However, a few days ago in the SB I did ask if there was an "Ignore" feature on the forum.
